March 26, 2023, is Air Max Day and Nike is celebrating the release of the Nike Air Max 1 '86 'Big Bubble'. After exactly 37 years, the original Air Max 1 silhouette returns and especially for this release, Nike and SNS are coming up with the 'Untold Stories' event in Paris. Air Max Day
This Sunday is Air Max Day. Every year on March 26, Nike celebrates the release of one of its most iconic silhouettes; the Air Max 1. Introduced in 1987, the model was designed by none other than Tinker Hatfield. The Nike Air Max 1 model was groundbreaking and was the first Nike sneaker to showcase the air unit.
Inspired by the Centre Georges Pompidou building in Paris, Hatfield brought out the functional and structural elements of the sneaker. The result; the Nike Air Max 1. With the return of the Air Max 1 '86 'Big Bubble' for the first time since its release in 1987, the upcoming Air Max Day is a special one.
The 'Big Bubble' was the predecessor of the Air Max 1 we know to this day and features a larger air unit. Nike is bringing the 'Untold Stories' event to Paris - the city where it all began.
Nike 'Untold Stories' event
During the event, sneaker lovers from all over Europe will come together and Nike will organize various activities. The 'Untold Stories' event, in collaboration with SNS, comes with creative workshops, musical performances, and inspiring talks.
