Nike confirms the release of the Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Black Cat'

After the year of retros at Nike, it seems the brand will continue this line into 2025. In addition to some OG colorways of the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4, the Air Jordan 3 'Black Cat' will also make a return, originally introduced in 2007. The sneaker will drop on January 11, 2025, at Nike and selected retailers.

All-black colorways seem to be becoming increasingly popular in 2024. Where the Nike Air Force 1 'Black' was once seen as a no-go, this sneaker now appears to have gained cult status. Just before the end of 2024, Nike unveils images of a much-loved black colorway: the 'Black Cat'.

The Air Jordan 3 'Black Cat' first debuted in 2007. The name of the colorway is derived from Michael Jordan's nickname, a tribute to his predatory instincts on the basketball court. The sneaker was more than just a shoe; it represented Jordan's agility and talent that earned him his feline-inspired nickname.

The sneaker features premium nubuck leather on the upper. The mudguard has a shiny finish, giving the pair a high-end look. The iconic elephant print, designed by Tinker Hatfield, is also featured on the mudguard. This animal print is even incorporated into the laces.

The 'Black Cat' will drop on January 11, 2025, at selected retailers. Check out the official images below and don't miss this release.
