After seeing colorways like the 'Voltage Purple', 'Black Harvest Gold', and 'Lemon Time' pass by earlier this year, 2023, we can now look forward to an Air Max Plus '25th Anniversary' release. As the name suggests, this is a tribute to the 25th anniversary of the Nike Air Max Plus.
In 1998, Nike released the Air Max Plus, also known as Air TN or Air Tuned. The designer of this silhouette is renowned designer Sean McDowell. The signature design of this trainer includes wavy TPU overlays, inspired by the peaceful waving of palm trees. McDowell found his inspiration while on holiday in Florida, where he saw these trees “dancing in the wind”. It didn't take long for the trainer to reach huge popularity worldwide.
And now Nike has released the official images of the new colorway called '25th Anniversary'. This colorway stands out for its colour transition and a pattern that resembles crinkled paper. In addition, the distinctive yellow TN logo can now be seen on the visible Air unit. Furthermore, a custom shoe box with a story about the journey of this trainer adds an extra historical dimension to this release.
The Nike Air Max Plus '25th Anniversary' is expected to be released in the coming weeks of 2023, via Nike and selected retailers. However, there is no official confirmation from Nike yet. Therefore, keep an eye on our news page for the exact release date!
