After the release of the New Balance 993 in ‘Shadow Grey/Driftwood’ and the New Balance 990 v6 in ‘Castlerock’ and ‘Reflection Marblehead’ in August 2024, the second drop of the New Balance Made in USA autumn/winter collection comes on 26 September at 10:00am, dear community! This time, we can expect two new colorways of the 993, plus a new variant of the 990v6.
Let us take a detailed look at the collection:
New Balance 993 Made in USA 'Mushroom' & 'Olive Leaf' - U993MU & U993OL
It is common knowledge that Teddy Santis, the designer behind both Aimé Leon Dore and the Made in USA line, is focusing heavily on the 993 silhouette this season. For the second drop, we can once again expect two new colorways.
One of them is the ‘Mushroom’, perfect for the autumn season. This version has a ‘Mushroom’ coloured base, with ‘Midnight Violet’ details on the tongue, heel and sole, and a striking yellow lining. The combination of these colours gives the shoe a cool and fresh look, ideal for autumn.
The second colourway is also a combination of earth tones. The tongue and lining come in purple and gold, while the ‘Olive Leaf’ colour can be seen on the suede overlays. Finally, the design is completed with a soft ‘Maize’ colour on the mesh base, a dark tan midsole and a black outsole.
New Balance 990v6 Made in USA 'Rich Oak' - U990OP6
Another silhouette Santis is focusing his attention on is the New Balance 990v6, which will be released in a ‘Rich Oak’ colour on 26 September at 10:00am. The design has a familiar look with a wavy midsole in cream, black and white. These colours are also reflected in the sockliner, logo and laces, making everything match up nicely.
In the middle, you'll see a mix of materials such as mesh, leather and pigskin suede, reflecting the classic New Balance colours of ‘Rich Oak’ brown, beige and dark grey. Last thing that makes this design really special is the ‘Cosmic Grape’ colour that gives the branding on the inside and upper eyestay a unique twist.
On 26 September 2024 at 10:00am, the second drop of the New Balance Made in USA autumn/winter collection will start releasing, dear community.
