Highlights of Milan Fashion Week 2024

Last week, Fashion Week took place in Milan, Italy. In this week, brands such as Fendi, Stone Island, Gucci and many more showed their men's collection for next year. Brands also showed their upcoming footwear collection. Check out some highlights from Milan Fashion Week 2024 here.

Stone Island FW24 collection

Stone Island made its debut at Milan Fashion Week 2024 last week. The Italian outdoor brand has been a beloved brand within and outside of Europe since its inception in 1982, but only in recent years has it received the recognition it deserves. The brand showed its upcoming collection for the first time in Milan and did so with a unique stellar run.

The EDM-inspired runway, or rather show since the runway was not in use, showcased the upcoming Stone Island collection, consisting of jackets, pants, and much more - each marked by the familiar Stone Island emblem on the arm or leg.

Big, bigger, biggest

Another trend that was also evident during Milan Fashion Week 2024 is puffy silhouettes at the foot. After the UGG brand played a significant role in 2023, oversized boots seem to play a major role in 2024 as well. The Moon Boots are making a return and Milan designer Project Domenico Formichetti also showed his take on this trend with his oversized boots.

Drake could already be spotted several times in 2023 in some of Project Domenico Formichetti's deisgns. Whether he will also wear the upcoming collection during his next performances remains to be seen in 2024. In any case, we are fans.

Spiky Gucci

Gucci was also present last week, showcasing next season's menswear collection. The collection, as is often the case with Gucci, featured the iconic Gucci monogram. The collection also showed leather jackets and oversized hand and hobo bags. The bags in particular received a lot of positive feedback online, as did the chunky Gucci loafers.

The Italian brand showed some eye-catching loafers dressed in silver details and spikes. The loafers arrived with a platform sole, silver emblems, and spikes all over the silhouette. Fan or no fan - they definitely stand out.

Jerry Lorenzo's extensive Fear Of God collection

American designer Jerry Lorenzo showed his 8th Fear Of God collection titled 'American Symphony'. The collection showcased timeless, sleek pieces in monochromatic hues. Lorenzo is known for his modern designs that use mostly earth tones, and the following collection makes no exception.

Although no adidas x Fear Of God items were seen in the runway (or lookbook), that does not mean they will not appear in the coming weeks. The Fear Of God collection mainly showed a lot of oversized boots, a trend we are seeing more of this year.

One notable collaboration that made its debut during Milan Fashion Week 2024 was that between creative collective Brain Dead and adidas. The first collaboration between the two names is an instant strike. Thus, it showcases a vintage-inspired bowling shoe dressed in the branding of adidas and Brain Dead.

When this unique sneaker will be released is still unknown. For now, the shoe shown above appears to be an F&F release only.

Paris Fashion Week 2024

These were just some highlights of Milan Fashion Week 2024. Currently, Paris Fashion Week 2024 is in full swing and brands such as Louis Vuitton, Wales Bonner, Feng Cheng Wang, Dior and many more are showing their menswear collections for next season.
