Halloween is barely over and adidas is already getting ready for Christmas. Recently, the first images of the upcoming The Grinch x adidas Forum Low collab have surfaced, a follow-up to last year's collaboration. Check out the first images of the three colorways here.
'The Grinch' film
'The Grinch' is the classic Christmas film that debuted in 1966. The film tells the story of the Grinch, a green, monstrous character who seems to hate Christmas. The film is a sequel to the successful book by Dr Seuss. In recent years, the story has received several films, with the most recent film adaptation 'The Grinch' from 2018.
As such, the Grinch is a well-known face often associated with Christmas. Last year, the green creature got his own furry trainer, the adidas Forum Low 'Green'. This year, adidas comes out with no less than three colorways of the Forum Low, each inspired by the Grinch's Christmas story.
The collab showcases a 'Pink', 'Brown' and 'Green' colorway of the well-known silhouette. The white variant combines red and green accents that hint at the Grinch and his outfit. The pink colorway appears to be a nod to Cindy Lou, a Whoville resident who will save Christmas, and the brown colorway hints at Max, the Grinch's dog.
Each colorway combines leather and suede elements. The hairy elements hint at the Grinch as a furry beast figure. Christmas emblems are placed on the tongue and adidas logos are placed on the tongue, heel and centre panel. In short, the perfect design for Christmas.
The new Grinch x adidas Forum Low collab does not have a release date for now. However, we can expect the sneakers in the last weeks of 2023, most likely before Christmas. Check out the first images of the trainers below and keep an eye on the release calendar for the latest updates.
