Stüssy and Nike are coming together again. In late 2023, the duo released the Nike Air Flight 89 in a 'Pecan' colorway. Now we see the first images of a rather striking sneaker: the Nike LD-1000 in an 'Action Green' colorway. The sneaker is expected in the fall of 2024.
Nike and Stüssy are a golden duo when it comes to sneaker releases. After releasing several collections, the two names are now gearing up for the release of the Nike LD-1000. The sneaker was introduced in the 1970s as a running shoe but was soon recalled after runners developed knee problems due to the flared heel.
Although the Nike LD-1000 was not a great success with runners, sneaker enthusiasts were pleased with this new Nike silhouette. The sneaker was considered a classic and is making its comeback more than 45 years later. The Stüssy x Nike LD-1000 arrives in an eye-catching colorway, the 'Action Green'.
The sneaker features a mesh upper. Suede overlays give the pair sturdiness. Black details on the center panel, tongue, and heel contrast nicely with the upper. Stüssy logos appear on the tongue and heel. The chunky studs on the outsole offer traction and grip.
