In July 2024, we first saw Climb As You Love collaborate with New Balance on the 1906R. The duo combined unique outdoor features with an urban style. Now, in August 2024, a second colourway of this design has been released.
The 1906R silhouette has already undergone several makeovers this year from well-known names like Action Bronson and Salehe Bembury. This time, it's the turn of Korean outdoor brand CAYL to bring their own vision to this tech runner.
CAYL has equipped the 1906R model with a fully nylon upper, creating a striking contrast to the shoe's usual layered look. Graphic overlays and a geometric grid pattern enhance the utilitarian design style that CAYL is known for.
In addition to this design, we see several outdoor features on the silhouette, such as cord laces, a snap closure, and a pull tab on the heel. Of course, CAYL's signature mountain logo is present, appearing on both the heel and tongue.
For the colorway, CAYL opted for a natural palette of deep beige, khaki, and crystal yellow, inspired by nature. We’ve already seen images of the 'Floating Blue' colorway, which, like the CAYL x New Balance 1906R 'Yellow', will drop on 23rd August 2024 at various retailers.
