The Olympic Games were to be held in Tokyo this year, but have been postponed to 2021 due to current circumstances. However, many brands, including Jordan Brand, had some great releases planned for this event, which we can still look forward to now. One of them is the comeback of the Air Jordan CO.JP Japan Pack. A few months ago the metallic silver colorway was released from this comeback pack and now we expect the Air Jordan 1 High Retro 'Midnight Navy' to be back.
Before we refresh you the story behind the colorway, first of all as always the release info! The new Retro Air Jordan 1 High CO.JP 'Midnight Navy', as it now looks, will be released on Saturday 31st October at 09:00am for 170€. However, it is possible that this release might be postponed. A possible alternative date could be 14 November 2020. We will keep you up to date! Click on the button to go directly to our release calendar and find all release info and retailers at a glance.
Your #TheCrew Background Check
The original Japan Pack from 2001 contained a total of 4 sneakers, including, as mentioned above, the Metallic Silver and the Midnight Blue colorway, as well as a white and a black colorway. The special here: They did not work with OG colorways but with completely new colours! Furthermore the Japan Pack was the first release worldwide at that time, which was only released in Japan. And on top of that the sneakers did not come in a shoe box but in a silver suitcase.
The 'Midnight Navy' on the high model is therefore a very special style from Jordan History. Already last year we saw the special colorway with Nike SB which is the subject of this article. Together with professional skater Eric Koston the Swoosh Brand released the 'Midnight Navy' style on an Air Jordan 1 Low.
Air Jordan 1 High 'Midnight Navy' - the Details
The base of the sneakers is made of white leather and the overlays come in 'Midnight Navy', a dark blue. Beautiful silver details can be found on the swoosh, the Jordan Wings logo and the text in the insole. On the inside of the tongue the Jordan Wings logo is again in red with the text "2001 2020". Retro!
The laces here are also in blue and a white midsole combined with a navy blue outsole complete the look. Unfortunately the sneakers will not be available in the silver case again in Europe, but only in the normal shoe box.
As soon as we know if the release is confirmed on October 31st, 2020, you will find out immediately in our release calendar via the button here and in our Sneaker News!
