Lets take a detailed look at the adidas Spezial collection for the Pre-Spring collection. The Spezial line was founded in 2016 by Gary Aspden. In recent years, he has given several adidas items an update or innovative design under the Spezial label. The Spezial collection has a loyal following and manages to come up with innovative designs every collection.
This Pre-Spring 2022 collection proves once again that Aspden's innovative and timeless designs never miss a beat. Aspden shows again that modern designs and functionality go hand in hand. The items have been given a timeless design and an outdoor look. The Pre-Spring collection also includes footwear and Aspden comes up with six different designs.
Pre-Spring 2022 collection
The Pre-Spring 2022 collection comes with jackets, jumpers, trousers and sneakers. The items have an outdoor look and combine military details. This has been translated to the garments in an adidas Spezial way and the items have been given a timeless design.
In the teaser of the new collection we see Kieran Tierney, Alfie Devine and Hamza Choudhury. All three are professional footballers with English football clubs. In the campaign, we see Kieran in a green pullover with the adidas SPZL logo on the chest. Alfie is showing a military-inspired jacket and the Spezial emblem can also be seen on this. We also see Hamza in a SPZL jacket.
In addition, the campaign shows various sneakers and the models have been given a retro colourway. The outdoor theme is well reflected in the jackets and jumpers. The adidas Spezial emblem shows the silhouette of a mountain landscape and the items are made of weatherproof materials.
Sneaker releases
The new collection comes with six different colorways on five adidas models. The sneakers have also been given a timeless design and are suitable for all weather conditions. The first pair from the collection is the Moscrop SPZL. This sneaker has a brown colorway and a chunky look. The upper combines the materials Cordura and suede.
The outdoor look is also reflected on the Winterhill SPZL. This sneaker has a classic sihouette with speckled laces. The upper is made of ripstop and has the adi-TEX emblem on the upper. The Lothertex SPZL also returns in the collection. The sneaker has a waterproof leather upper and has the same adi-TEX coating as the Winterhill SPZL.
Finally, the collection features the Carnforth SPZL and two colorways of the Barrowland SPZL. The Canforth SPZL has a leather upper and is brown in colour. The Barrowland SPZL is a new silhouette and has a low profile reminiscent of the Stockholm.
The adidas SPZL Pre-Spring 2022 collection will be released on February 3, 2022 at adidas and various retailers.
