NB327 appeared out of nowhere and was an instant hit, with the oversized "N" logo and retro feel inspired by 1970s models.

This model was released as a collab with Size? in June 2020 Available in two colorways - red/yellow/green and red/purple/tan. A pair of men's trainers with a dark 'Indigo' and grey denim theme, as well as a light denim model for women, were released by Levi's in November 2020.

Inspired by the NB archive
In designing the New Balance 327, Charlotte Lee drew inspiration from several different models from the NB archive, including the New Balance 320 and the Super Comp. Featuring pigskin leather suede overlays on nylon bases and studded rubber outsoles, some versions also have premium leather. Both models were originally released in the 1970s and the 327's asymmetrical midsole, toebox details and studded outsole are all borrowed from the retro models.
