Supreme x Nike bring back a classic in form of the Air Max TL '99
Supreme's recent efforts to revamp some older and less-known Nike silhouettes don't seem to be stopping. However, these efforts are somewhat of a coin flip sometimes. For example, the Supreme x Nike More Uptempo from 2017 turned out to be a huge success and breathed new life into the model. The Uptempo has been on the rise ever since. On the contrary, we have seen the Supreme x Nike Air Zoom Flight '95 and the Air Max '96, which were less successful.
After their latest collab for a nostalgic Nike SB Blazer Mid, Supreme is rumoured to try and revive the Nike Air Max TL '99. The model was first released in 1998 but mostly gained popularity in 1999, hence the name '99. In the pictures, we can see a triple white colorway of the sneaker. So far the only visible changes to the silhouette are the replaced Nike Air Unit, which now looks like the one from the AM 97 models, and 'SUPREME' branding on the heel in a groovy style.
As far as we know, there are multiple colorways on the way and the sneaker is set to release either in the ongoing FW22 collection or next year in 2023.
