Release Reminder: Nike Air Trainer 1 SP 'Dark Smoke Grey'
The new Nike Air Trainer 1 Utility is a reworked version of the classic Air Trainer 1, which was launched in 1987. Nike is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the kicks with some new colorways. The Air Trainer 'Coriander' was released in February 2022 and the 'Dark Smoke Grey' will be released on Thursday, 17 March 2022 at 09:00.
The upcoming Air Trainer comes in Dark Smoke Grey, Black, Iron Grey and Off-Noir. The shape of the silhouette is still the same as the Air Trainer 1, but some changes have been made to the upper.
First of all, the strap that runs across the forefoot has been redesigned. The leather has been replaced with canvas and the design now has a plastic buckle. In addition, the sneaker is made of mesh and nylon. Finally, silver stripes run across the model that reflect in the dark.

There is a lot going on with this sneaker, with multiple panels decorated with reflective contrast pieces. The middle panel, around the Swoosh, has a light gradient pattern. On the upper, multiple shades of grey are used, the outsole with its yellow colour provides contrast.
