Nike is bringing back the Air Max 1 'Urawa' in 2023
The Nike Air Max 1 'Urawa' returns. In 2004, Nike came out with the 'Urawa' colorway, inspired by the home jersey of the Japanese soccer team. The sneaker is a beloved colorway among OG sneaker fanatics and now, in 2023, the team's away kit jersey will also get its own Air Max 1 colorway.
In 2004, Nike first teamed up with the Japanese soccer team Urawa Red Diamonds, also known as Urawa Dragons. The Nike Air Max 1 'Urawa' came dressed in the colors of the team's home jersey and colored red, gray, and yellow. Since its 2004 release, the colorway has become a very popular one among OG sneaker fans.
In 2023, the 'Uruwa' appears to be returning, this time in the colors of the away team's Urawa Red Diamonds jersey. Unlike its predecessor, the sneaker has a fairly quiet look. The away jersey comes in white and gray, and these are also brought back on the new Air Max 1 colorway.
The upper is composed of leather and mesh. The toe cap and collar come in black and contrast well with the white and light gray overlays. The center panel features the Swoosh and colors white here. The Nike Air logo on the tongue colors gold and has a metallic finish.
The lace eyelets and Air unit have been given a striking red color, hinting at the Urawa Red Diamonds logo. On the heel, the Nike Air logo has been replaced with the Urawa Dragon logo.
The Nike Air Max 1 'Urawa' does not yet have an official release date. However, we can expect the sneaker in 2023. Keep an eye on our release calendar for the latest updates and don't miss the release.
