The Nike Air Max 1 'Keep Rippin Stop Slippin' returns in 2023
The Nike Air Max 1 'Keep Rippin Stop Slippin' makes its comeback. The sneaker takes its inspiration from the 1987 OG Air 'Safari' and combines different prints and materials. The Air Max 1 'Keep Rippin Stop Slippin' does not yet have an official release date. However, we can expect the sneaker in 2023.
In 2008, the Nike Air Max 1 'Keep Rippin Stop Slippin' was released in the 'Greatest Hits' pack, along with the Nike Air Stab 'Runnin' Gunnin'' and the Nike Air Max 90 'King of the Mountain'. The sneaker has a striking look and uses the well-known 'Safari' motif, which first appeared on the Nike Air 'Safari' in 1987.
Now, some 15 years after its first release, the Air Max 1 returns. Staying close to its 2008 predecessor, the sneaker combines several animal prints. On the mudguard and collar, the black and white 'Safari' print appears. The toecap and collar come in the 'Safety Orange' color. The overlay on the center panel has a hairy feel, as does its predecessor.
The Nike Air logo on the heel has been replaced with the quote 'Keep Rippin Stop Slippin'. The Swoosh on the centre panel is black leather. The Air unit is translucent and has an orange color.
Exactly when the Nike Air Max 1 'Keep Rippin Stop Slippin' will drop is not yet known. However, we can expect the sneaker in 2023. Check out the first images below and keep an eye on our release calendar
