In Korea, the bank holidays Hangul Day is celebrated annually on 9 October. Hangul Day, also known as Hangeulnal, is a day to celebrate the introduction of the Korean script system. To honor this celebration, Nike will release the WMNS exclusive Nike Air Max 1 'Hangul Day'. Unfortunately, there is no certainty around the release date yet, however, you can check out the official pictures of the AM1 here.
In recent years, Nike has increasingly unveiled sneakers to commemorate the Korean holiday. In 2021, they introduced the Air Force 1 edition, followed by a Hangul-themed Air Max 97 in 2022. And now, they're gearing up for the second release of the Air Max 1 'Hangul Day'.
The forthcoming Air Max features a white mesh foundation accompanied by brown overlays. These overlays, crafted from robust suede, impart an added dimension to the sneaker's aesthetics. The midsole, adorned in a creamy hue, contributes to a vintage appearance. Notably, Korean characters are showcased on the insoles and etched onto the heel tab, serving as an additional nod to the holiday.
Nike has not yet announced an official release date for the WMNS exclusive Nike Air Max 1 'Hangul Day'. However, expectations point to a release around the holiday date on 9 October 2023. Stay updated on this release and many others through our release calendar!
