New Balance 1906 Loafer 'Metallic Silver'

In January 2024, the first images of the New Balance x Junya Watanabe 1906 Loafer came out, in white and black. It was the first time we saw another version of the 1906 silhouette. Initially, this model was expected to be collab only. Later, the first images of general releases appeared in the colorways 'Silver' and 'Brown Navy'.

So now the New Balance 1906 Loafer 'Silver' finally has a release date. The loafer drops on September 19, 2024.

Loafers are gaining popularity on the streets and add a chic touch to any outfit. So it is no surprise that New Balance is capitalizing on this trend by releasing new colorways. Much of the original 1906 silhouette has been retained, but the upper has been cropped to create the loafer look.

The upper is made of breathable mesh with dynamic, synthetic overlays. The sole takes inspiration from the New Balance 860v2 and uses ABZORB-technology. The N-ergy outsole provides cushioning and traction. The sneaker appears in two colorways.

The 'Brown/Navy' colorway features a navy blue mesh base with brown leather overlays. That same color combination is reflected in the sole, creating a nice overall look. The 'Silver' colorway has a more classic look, which we have seen more often on New Balance's models.
