The Air Jordan 4 'Rare Air' will drop in 2025
A new Air Jordan 4 colorway is joining the lineup. The silhouette, also designed by Tinker Hatfield, is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year with several releases. The next colorway, 'Rare Air,' will only be released in 2025. Check out the new images of the sneaker below.
Earlier this year, the first images of the Air Jordan 4 'Rare Air' surfaced, showcasing a striking colorway that combines black, red, and purple. Now, we’re getting a closer look at the sneaker, which reveals more detailed elements of the colorway.
The Air Jordan 4 'Rare Air' has a worn, vintage look. The mudguard has a faded appearance, and the sole features off-white details. The upper is made from durable suede with a matte finish, while purple accents on the collar and sole contrast nicely with the upper.
A unique detail on this sneaker is the interchangeable logo on the tongue. As with every Air Jordan 4 release, the Jumpman logo appears on the tongue. However, unlike previous releases, the logo on the 'Rare Air' colorway is attached with Velcro, allowing it to be removed to reveal the text "Jordan Rare Air" underneath.
References to the colorway’s name also appear on the midsole. Where the Jordan logo would normally be, the name "Rare Air" along with a Swoosh is now featured.
Whether the sneaker will be released around April 1 is still uncertain, but it seems Nike was feeling a bit whimsical during the design process for this unusual sneaker. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers release calendar for more updates on this release.
