Mizuno Sky Medal

Introduction to the Mizuno Sky Medal

The Mizuno Sky Medal made its debut during the opening ceremony of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Legendary track and field athlete Carl Lewis wore them at the event. A year later when it became available to the generic public, it quickly went to the top of the brand's bestsellers list of sneakers.
Today's design pays homage to the 1990s style, elevating the runner to the status of a stylish lifestyle icon.
And did you know? The name of the sneaker is derived from the goal of being a podium shoe that athletes would wear to receive their medals after competitions.

The sporting design's upper, which comes in a variety of colorways to suit every taste, has a mesh and nylon base with premium leather overlays. One of the branding elements is represented by the 'Runbird' logo, which is located on the lateral of the upper, and the Mizuno logo is shown on the tongue tag.
The sneaker's comfort is guaranteed by the cushioning and thick foam midsole, and its durable rubber outsole adds to its all-day wearability.
