It took a while for the thisisneverthat x New Balance 1906R & 2002R to be released, but now it's finally happening. On Friday, August 19, 2022, the two models will go up for purchase at various stores. The collab is known for its 2002R from 2020. Since then fans have been looking forward to a new release from the duo and now it is here!

thisisneverthat x New Balance 1906R | M1906RTI
The first model is the thisisneverthat x New Balance 1906R, the first images of this pair have been going around since May 2022. Because the 1906R has not been released by New Balance for a long time, it seems like a new silhouette. But it is not!
The design has a true runner's look and feel. This is especially noticeable in the sporty upper made of light grey mesh. The mesh has some striking details, one of them being the brown stains that run all around the upper, making it look like the sneakers have been worn already.
On top of the base are leather overlays in silver with grey and white accents. The well-known 'N' has been given a dark grey colour with an outline of silver.
To complete the 'worn' look, the laces are yellowed, as is the midsole. Lastly, the outsole is coloured black, completing the entire design.
thisisneverthat x New Balance 2002R | M2002RTH
The second model is the thisisneverthat x New Balance 2002R, a silhouette that has become very popular in 2022. Therefore, it is not surprising that the duo has chosen the 2002R.
The 2002R comes in a classic colour combination of grey and navy. The base on the toe is made of mesh and has a light grey colour. The tongue and collar are made of broken leather, which gives a vintage look to the sneaker.
The overlays come in different types of leather, including suede and premium leather. In this way, layers are created and a special dynamic is shown on the upper. To further show the difference, grey and navy shades are used on the overlays and outsole.
