The Air Jordan 5 is the fifth silhouette in the Air Jordan line and was introduced in 1990. The model was designed by the well-known Tinker Hatfield, who is also responsible for the designs of the Air Max 1, Air Jordan 3 and many more. In 2024, we will see a new colorway of the Air Jordan 5: the 'Lucky Green'.
The sneaker has a white upper made of premium leather. A mesh element is placed on the centre panel, allowing the trainer to breathe. The collar is coloured green, as are the details on the tongue, heel and midsole. The Jumpman logo has been placed on the tongue and heel.
A unique detail on the Air Jordan 5 is the number '23' stitched at the heel. This number refers to Michael Jordan's back number when he played for the Chicago Bulls.
