The Air Max 1 model celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2022 and does so with several, unique releases. Introduced in 1987, the model was designed by Tinker Hatfield. The Air Max 1 silhouette was the first Nike model where the Air Unit is visible in the midsole. Now, anno 2022, Nike is bringing back a striking colorway.
The Nike Air Max 1 Premium 'Pecan' has a warm colorway. The sneaker combines different shades of brown and comes with yellow details all over the silhouette. For instance, the Swoosh on the centre panel colours yellow, as do the laces and outsole. The sneaker takes its inspiration from the 2001 'Ugly Ducking' pack.
A striking detail on the 'Pecan' colorway, is the duck on the heel. This hints at the Dunk Low 'Ugly Duckling'. The tongue features the Nike emblem. The upper is premium leather and the mudguard is suede, with the Air Unit in the midsole coloured yellow.
