PUMA Slipstream Bball
The iconic basketball shoe from the 1980s has been given a modern twist. Introduced in 1987, the PUMA Slipstream was an instant hit on the basketball court. The model was the successor to the PUMA SKY LX, a silhouette widely worn by basketball players at the time.
Aa a performance sneaker, the Slipstream stands for comfort and stability. With a leather upper and a sturdy upper, the pair was an instant hit. Not only on the playing field was the trainer a popular silhouette. Soon after its release, the sneaker was embraced by the hip-hop community.
Anno 2023, the model gets a new variant; the PUMA Slipstream Bball. The updated variant comes with modern details and premium materials, but stays close to the classic silhouette. The Slipstream Bball retains the essence of the trainer, but offers a contemporary and modern look.
The new Slipstream appears in four colorways, the 'White', 'Blue', 'Yellow' and 'Green'. The leather upper comes with suede details that give the trainer a chic look. The centre panel features PUMA's signature Formstrip logo. This appears to pop off the sneaker, providing extra dimension.
Reinforcing materials at the heel make this a comfortable pair and give the model a chunky design. Perforation holes on the toecap and mid-panel help the trainer breathe. Finally, PUMA branding emerges on the tongue, heel and midsole.
