The Rolls-Royce of sneakers: the New Balance 1300 JP. Every few years, New Balance releases this premium model—and good news: it’s happening again this year. The sneaker, in the 'Mirage Gray' colorway, will drop in May 2025 in honor of New Balance's annual “Grey Days” celebration.
1985
The year is 1985: Wubbo Ockels becomes the first Dutchman in space, the Titanic is discovered at a depth of 3,800 meters, and New Balance releases the 1300—one of the brand’s most high-end silhouettes.
A sneaker with timeless design and premium materials, which only appears on shelves once every five years.
The last release was already five years ago, so—as promised—we can expect a new drop this year. The sneaker will drop next month, especially for the annual “Grey Days” celebration.
The New Balance 1300 ‘Mirage Gray’ is part of the Made in USA pack, a line from New Balance that highlights craftsmanship and ambition. The upper consists of breathable mesh, combined with nubuck leather overlays and a white leather lining.

The ENCAP midsole provides cushioning and comfort. The tongue features the signature ‘1300’ label. Each pair comes in a special shoebox that pays homage to the original 1985 design.
