On March 13, 2021, Nike will re-release an exclusive WMNS colorway on the Air Structure Triax 91. The OG model is celebrating its 30th birthday this year, Nike is releasing a number of colorways especially for this anniversary, including the Nike Air Structure Triax 91 'Pink' that we saw back in 2009. Nike Air Structure Triax 91
As the name suggests, Nike launched the Air Structure Triax in 1991. The model was part of Nike's Structure series: a line of running shoes that provided extra stability. The sneakers looked very modern for their time, the famous 'zig-zag' pattern immediately drawing attention.
This is not the first time the model has been re-released. In 2009, Nike already re-released the model once. Then it also released this pink WMNS colorway. And now, in 2021, several OG models will be re-released in different colorways, in celebration of the 30th anniversary.
Air Structure Triax 91 'Pink' | DB1426-100
One of those colorways is this 2009 WMNS Air Structure Triax 91 'Pink'. The base of the retro shoe is made white giving the model a light look. The famous zig-zag stripes are coloured both light grey and white. This way, all attention goes to the colourful accents.
The swoosh, a part of the sole, the upper eyelets, the NIKE logos and the inside of the shoe have been given a light pink colour. There are also light yellow details on the tongue, for example, behind the NIKE logo. Finally, the bottom of the sole and some lettering on the tongue are made black.
Other colorways
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Structure Triax 91, Nike can't stop at one colorway. A release date has already been announced for the 'Neo Teal' colorway, which features blue accents. The date is scheduled for 20 March 2021. There will probably be more colorways released this year, but we'll have to wait and see when those release dates are.
