First impression
Futuristic vibes – the Nike Air Max has always been known for its innovative design, and the Dn8 is no exception. The rugged look, sturdy build, and stripes on the side remind me a bit of the Air Max 95 and the Nike TN, but it's mainly the sole that makes the model unique and steals the show.
The red details on the Air Units and the small Nike Swoosh on the side provide striking accents to this otherwise clean grey-and-white colour combination. Overall, a modern yet timeless colorway that can be effortlessly paired with different outfits.
Comfort
The sole consists of two Air Units and eight air tubes, which provide a distinctive look and, above all, excellent cushioning. The air tubes are in direct contact with the ground and are specifically tuned to air pressure, resulting in a bounce similar to that of a performance shoe.
This comfort is further enhanced by the breathability you'd expect from most Air Max models. The use of a dense mesh on the upper, combined with a padded inner layer, ensures a light and breathable shoe.
Personally, I'm happy about this because it makes the shoe wearable all year round, unlike models like Y2K runners, which are not always suitable for the colder days.
Final verdict
All in all, I find the Nike Air Max Dn8 a unique, stable shoe that may not fit every clothing style, but is definitely a valuable addition to your sneaker rotation. It's a solid foundation for sporty streetwear outfits.
Taste is subjective, but there's no debate about the quality. The shoes are very comfortable to wear and feel sturdy; there's nothing to criticize!
