The Nike Air Max 1 'Grand Piano' is going to make a comeback in 2024. This special version of the Air Max 1 first hit the shelves in 2009 and was only available at the sneaker and clothes shop PHANTACi in Taiwan. The folks behind the store, Ric and Jay Chou, originally came up with the design.
With its shiny black and gold patent leather, inspired by the grandeur of a piano, this sneaker stole hearts back in the day. Only 400 pairs were up for grabs, making it a hot item for collectors. Right now on StockX, you can snag a size 44 for €2025.
Fast forward to 2024, and official pics of a retro 'Grand Piano' have surfaced, hinting at the return of this iconic colorway. The design looks pretty much the same as the original, with the eye-catching colours and details, like the plush pink lining.
However, notably, the original PHANTACi branding seems to have been replaced by 'Piano' dubraes.
The Nike Air Max 1 'Grand Piano' will start dropping at PHANTACi on 27 April 2024 and on 5 May 2024 on SNKRS. Keep up to date with all releases by checking the Sneakerjagers release calendar regularly!
