The Big Bubble makes its comeback in 2023 does so with different colorways. During Air Max Day 2023, the Nike Air Max 1 '86 OG 'University Red' was released and since its release, Nike has added several colorways to the '86 silhouette. Next on the schedule is the AM 1 Big Bubble 'Blue Safari'.
On 26 March 2023, the Air Max 1 with the Big Bubble reappeared on shelves for the first time since its initial release in 1986. A year before the official Air Max 1 model was released in 1987, the silhouette had a larger Air unit. The Big Bubble caused problems during high temperatures and after its release in 1986, the model disappeared from the radar.
The model returned in 2023 and the sneaker has already received several colorways. Recently, the first images of the 'Blue Safari' colorway appeared. The sneaker takes its inspiration from the Safari print, designed by Tinker Hatfield himself. The Safari print has of course appeared on several Nike models in the past and now comes to the Air Max 1 '86.
The Nike Air Max 1 '86 'Blue Safari' has striking looks. The sneaker comes in a light blue colorway and combines mesh, suede and leather materials. The Safari print appears on the mudguard. The yellowed midsole gives the design a vintage look. At the heel, the enlarged Air unit can be seen.
