Nike Sportswear's plant-dye collection has introduced many looks since its first appearance in December 2020. Alongside the Air Maxes and Nike Blazers, the Nike Air Force 1 low 'Flora Pack' collection is finally expanding. The two colorways Catechu and Indigo are two fresh appearances. Read on to find out more about these two kicks.
Nike Air Force 1 07 'Indigo' | CZ0269-100
This AF1 looks just like the recently shared LV8 Indigo Air Force 1, yet this version is different. The upper consists mainly of canvas and cork details. In addition, the plant is not visible on the tongue, like the previous Indigo. This new AF1 puts the Indigo plant in the spotlight, by depicting it on the side panel of the silhouette. The official name of the plant is Indigofera Tinctoria, also known as True Indigo.
Recycled rubbers support the foot in this well thought-out sneaker. This rubber outsole has been given a dark colour. This look reminds us very much of earth. The Swoosh has a fresh light blue obsidion colour, which creates a nice contract on the white canvas and the brown sole. On the right heel tab, the name of the plant with additional information is present and this is also covered in the light obsidion colour.
Nike Air Force 1 07 SE Low 'Catechu' | CZ0269-101
The sneaker is made of a lightweight canvas material. The white colour dominates on the silhouette, while the pink and brown shades provide a nice contrast. The Swooshes, branding on the tongue and upper heel panels have been given a pink 'Light Sienna' colour. The Indian acacia tree, also known for its catechu extract, is depicted on the side of the heel.
Cork has been used for the lace dubrea, part of the heel and outsole, adding to the nature-inspired theme. Although the Indigo variant is different in terms of textile and plant placement, both sneakers have a bright yellow insole. Furthermore, the name of the plant can also be seen here on the right heel tab. This is on the heel along with additional information such as the scientific name, place of origin and use.
