The Nike Air 180 'Bluebird' makes its comeback in 2025

It is perhaps one of the most popular colorways of the Nike Air 180: the 'Bluebird.' This colorway was released in 1991 under the name 'Clear Turquoise.' Now, 34 years after its initial release, the colorway is getting its first retro version—much to the delight of many OG sneaker enthusiasts.

Amid all the retro releases of 2024, one sneaker stood out: the Nike Air 180. The sneaker reappeared on Nike's shelves for the first time in years. The first colorway in the lineup was the 'Ultramarine,' the OG colorway of the silhouette from 1991.

Soon after, the colorways 'Concord', 'Baltic Blue', and 'Joker'. followed. The next in line is the 'Bluebird,' also known as 'Clear Turquoise.' Originally a WMNS exclusive, this colorway was released alongside the 'Bright Ceramic' and followed the 'Ultramarine' and 'Hot Limes' in 1991.

Now, the colorway is returning (this time not just for women). The Air 180 'Bluebird' features a fresh color scheme, combining white, blue, and turquoise. The sneaker retains the signature 180-degree Air unit, offering cushioning and comfort. Classic Nike branding appears on the tongue and heel, completing the retro look.

The exact release date for the sneaker is still unknown. However, we can expect the Nike Air 180 'Bluebird' to drop in 2025. Check out the first images below and watch the Sneakerjagers release calendar for updates.
