Nike ACG has shared the first images of their new summer 2021 collection. The items have a special inspiration, namely the tropical islands of Hawaii. When you think of the American state, you probably think of tropical temperatures with sun, sea and sand. But Hawaii also has a volcanic landscape with wild nature. Nike ACG
Nike ACG stands for 'All Conditions Gear'. The brand is part of Nike and specialises in innovative sportswear and sports items for all climates. The items often have a sporty look and are made for outdoor use. For this reason, functionality and comfort are very important for the brand.
ACG's motto is 'Designed, tested and made on Planet Earth'. They often base their collection on a place on earth. For their summer collection of 2021, Hawaii has been chosen. The volcanic landscape of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park has been a great source of inspiration. The black mountains are clearly visible in the picture above. The wild jungle also plays a big role in the collection.

Recycled materials
As much as 85% of the collection contains more than 90% recycled materials. This helps Nike ACG to reduce material waste, which would otherwise be thrown away.
Nike ACG Summer ’21: Hawaii-proof
To ensure that the clothing can fully withstand the conditions of Hawaii, they have specifically adapted each item to the weather conditions of the climate. The Cinder Cone windshell jacket and trousers are made of 100% recycled, lightweight nylon. In addition, the fabric is both water-repellent and windproof, and they are easily foldable. The ACG Lava Tree Lightweight Hoody for men is made of recycled polyester and has a draped look. In addition, the jacket protects you from harmful UV rays. Other garments drop by with graphic prints of whales and dolphins, among others.
The ACG Mountain Fly Low shoes are re-released for this collection. The sneakers are perfect for tropical weather. The shoes can withstand sand well and have a good grip. The pair namely contains a React midsole and a sticky rubber outsole, these parts help you against slipping when you climb slippery rocks for example.
Also dropping is a pair of Air Deschutz sandals, which is ideal for the warm weather. The sandal also contains a Nike Air-Unit which makes the pair feel comfortable while walking. Finally, there are also a number of products coming out exclusively for women, namely several sports bras and a skirt suitable for adventure.
