After several successful collaborations, Jacquemus and Nike now come up with a very special collab. In early 2024, the first images of an Air Max 1 '86 with a square Air unit already appeared. Now we finally see the official images of the collab and the sneaker has a release date.
Jacquemus has become a well-known high-end brand in recent years. The label was founded in 2009 by then-19-year-old Simon Porte Jacquemus. The French brand, known for its (too) small bags, has collaborated with Nike numerous times in recent years. Now we see the duo's next project.
Earlier in 2024, images of a white and a silver Nike Air Max 1 '86 appeared. Notable about these two sneakers, were the square-toe cap and Air unit. In addition to a silver and white colorway, we now see a bright red variant appear.
The silhouette received some modifications, as mentioned above. In addition to a machined toe cap and square Air unit, the Air Max 1 '86 also features unique perforation holes placed on the toe cap, heel, and upper. The sneaker has a padded collar. Also, the Nike Air logo on the heel has been changed to the Jacquemus logo.
The silver and red colorways use an upper made of mesh. The white variant, on the other hand, uses leather on the upper. A mini Swoosh is placed on the center panel. An asymmetrical outsole completes the sneaker.
The Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 '86 drops on June 10, 2024, at Jacquemus. Check out the official images of the colorways below, and keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates.
