After a long wait, we can finally expect the AURALEE x New Balance WRPD Runner. The first images of the silhouette appeared during Paris Fashion Week last summer. Now, almost a year later, the collaboration has an official release date.
Last summer, high-end brands showed their summer collections for the year 2024 at Paris Fashion Week. Pharrell Williams made his debut as creative director at Louis Vuitton, MSCHF and Crocs showed the Big Yellow Boot and Japanese label AURALEE introduced the latest New Balance silhouette; the WRPD Runner.
In recent weeks, the model was already available in several colorways from New Balance. Now we finally see the AURALEE collab appear in 'Phantom' and 'Bone' colorways. The New Balance WRPD Runner features a dynamic design. The sneaker is characterized by its chunky, wavy sole.
The sneaker consists of premium materials. The upper uses nubuck, suede, and mesh. The monochromatic look of the sneakers emphasizes its slim build. The N logo appears on the center panel. The sole uses FuelCell technology that provides cushioning with every step.
