The two-decade-long collaboration between Nike and CLOT by Edison Chen came to an end last year, 2023. Not long after, Chen joined hands with one of Nikes competitor's: adidas Originals. After debuting the collaboration during Shanghai Fashion Week, the CLOT Superstar by Edison Chen is the first global release of their collaboration.
First launched in 1969, the adidas superstar now gets a CLOT twist. The CLOT x adidas Superstar 'White' is from a collection that reflects Chen's artistic journey. This release is the first step in bringing Eastern and Western cultures together. The aim of this campaign is to present collections that break boundaries and challenge norms with profound designs.
The sneaker is dressed entirely in white leather. Even the toe cap, which in the classic silhouette is made of rubber, is now replicated by stitching in the leather to create the signature look. The brown leather trim brings out the unique ribbed sole. As icing on the cake, leather tassels are attached to the lacing on the tongue. This completes the classic look.

To support the release, an accompanying campaign is being released. The campaign which stars Jung Woo, Chris Severn, Joice Wrice, Brent Faiyaz and DPR Ian, invites everyone to 'The House of Edison Chen'. This campaign aims to highlight the effortless elegance and cultural connectivity the collaboration stands for, with the diverse cast taking centre stage.
