The first images of the adidas Stan Smith PF (Platform) have surfaced. Several adidas silhouettes with a raised sole have already appeared in recent months. These include the Gazelle Bold, Superstar Bold and Forum Bold. Now the Stan Smith gets a platform sole that is suspiciously reminiscent of some luxury sneakers we are already familiar with.
The adidas Stan Smith PF arrives with a chunky sole. This model has had several variations in the past, but the new PF model is reminiscent of Alexander McQueen's luxury sneakers and therefore has a luxurious look.
The upper of the adidas Stan Smith PF remains similar to the classic silhouette linked to former tennis player Stan Smith. The upper is made of white leather. The green details on the tongue and heel are characteristic of the Stan Smith silhouette. The tongue and midsole feature the adidas Trefoil logo.
The sole has a rounded look and a yellowed color which gives the sneaker an aged look. Platform soles under sneakers are wildly popular these days, and it seems that adidas is capitalizing on this. So one might wonder if this affordable luxury sneaker is the next adidas Samba OG.
