A golden duo when it comes to collaborations: Supreme and The North Face (TNF). The two names come up with a joint collection almost every year that focuses mainly on puffer jackets, as is the case now. On October 17, 2024, Supreme and TNF will drop a comprehensive collection consisting of jackets, hoodies, tees, and accessories.
It's not winter if Supreme and The North Face haven't collaborated. In 2023, the duo came up with an eye-catching collaboration with puffers that zipped apart to create asymmetrical designs. The year before that, we saw a suede collection with items like 600-Fill Down Parka, Nuptse Jacket, and Mountain Pant.
For the next collaboration, the help of artist Raymond Pettibon has been requested. Pettibon became known within LA's punk rock scene in the early 1980s, designing posters and album covers for his brother's SST Records label. His abstract style can be recognized by thousands, think of the Black Flag logo and the 1990 album cover of Sonic Youth's Goo.
These days, Pettibon is into American iconography, inspired by literature, art history, and philosophy. In the Supreme x The North Face collection, Pettibon's works appear on Mountain Jackets, Nuptses, and graphic tees. Particularly eye-catching is the work with the dog on the Mountain Jack.
