Sneakers and boots that will keep you warm this season

Although the temperatures are not yet around freezing (although sometimes it feels like it), now is the perfect time to score new sneakers or boots for this season. From UGGs to Timberlands, there's plenty to choose from. And if you prefer to stick with your trusted sneakers, there are plenty of winter-proof versions.

To inspire you, we've collected some favorite picks that will keep you stylish (and warm) through the winter!

Timberland

A pair of Timbs should not be missing from your wardrobe this winter. The boots have been around for years, and for good reason. In 1918, a sturdy shoe with a waterproof upper was designed to brave the winter landscapes of New England.

In the 1990s, the boot - particularly the 6-Inch Yellow Boot - became a true cult classic when it was embraced by the hip-hop community. Now, more than a century after its introduction, Timberland is still a timeless classic and a must-have for any closet.

UGG Lowmel

Another sneaker, or rather boot, that is in high demand this year is the UGG Lowmel. The Lowmel bridges the gap between UGG's classic designs, like the Classic Ultra and Tasman, and sneakers. The result: a warm boot with a sporty design.

The UGG Lowmel is in high demand, so chances are your favorite colorway is only available at resellers.

Cordura sneakers

Besides boots, you also have sneakers that are suitable for winter. Some brands use the Cordura, a type of material that uses synthetic fiber-like fabrics that give the material its strength.

Recently, New Balance appeared with the 2002R Cordura pack, but Nike and adidas have also regularly released Cordura releases in the past.

GORE-TEX sneakers

Another material often used on sneakers is GORE-TEX, a waterproof material with breathability. The material is often used on outdoor gear and clothing, but has also been used on sneakers by Nike, adidas, Jordan and HOKA in the past. Guaranteed dry feet this winter!

These were some personal favorites. If you are still not completely convinced, be sure to take a look at the Sneakerjagers search engine. Here you can find more sneakers like these and check out upcoming releases in advance.
