August is of course also a month to celebrate Pride and with that the importance of diversity, self-acceptance and love. With their collection, Converse is also helping to show how important it is to be open about oneself. This year's Pride collection by Converse is all about those who are proud to live in the power and joy of their own being.
Pride is a powerful reminder that everyone has the right to be proud of who they are, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or background.
The Converse Pride collection not only celebrates style and self-expression, but also creates awareness and support for the LGBTQIA+ community. The collection was designed by LGBTQIA+ staff and supporters at Converse. None of the styles in the collection are identical. Everything is meant to be an extension of your unique look, no matter how you define it.
Two examples are the Run Star Legacy CX Pride and the Chuck 70 Plus Pride. As you can see in the video above, we at Sneakerjagers presented the Converse Pride designs and shone with them at the Pride parade in Amsterdam. Of course, these kicks proudly shine in the colours of the rainbow, the symbol of the LGBTQIA+ community. These colours can be found on the Converse All Star Patch, the Hiker Loop, the outsole and the laces, among others.
