Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5 - Music meets Sneaker

Exciting sneaker releases are waiting for you! This time we have the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5 and tell you all the important information about the shoe in this article. We don't want to keep you in suspense any longer and take a look at the upcoming Air Max Tailwind 5 together. Let's go!

London's Music Scene

Skepta is a London-born music producer and British grime musician. The collaboration with Nike and the SK Air range goes into the next round with the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5. The shoe combines the futuristic aesthetic from the early 2000s with Skepta's designs. The colours are inspired by nature, the colour of a butterfly wing to be exact.

The butterfly was deliberately chosen as a source of inspiration. Skepta himself had a creative rebirth as an artist and reflects this with the butterfly and its metamorphosis. You can get an impression for yourself with the official campaign images here below.

The details of the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5

Some of the details on the shoe are reminiscent of Skepta's career and the collab with Nike. The silver chrome Swoosh, for example, is a striking allusion to the Nike SK Shox. In addition, the subtle shimmer in the heel area is meant to recall the thermographic album cover of Skepta's 'Ignorance Is Bliss' from 2019.

Here below we have a picture for you so that you can better imagine the special heel area.

Skepta plays with different colours and materials in the kicks and creates new surprises with small details. The sole with Air technology is completely black, while the purple/blue colour scheme unfolds at the front. The SK Air logo can be seen on the insole. A black rubber toe cap at the front completes the look of the sneaker.

In addition to the sneaker, there is also some fashion heat coming out between Skepta x Nike. A tracksuit and a bucket hat are also to be released, coloured mostly black with some blue and purple accents. The Nike Swoosh and the SK Air logo are also visible.
