If there’s one brand to keep an eye on this year, it’s Saucony. The American label has been around for years, but recently made a strong comeback thanks to collabs with the likes of Jae Tips, Bisso, Seanella Abraham, and Westside Gunn (though we’re still waiting on that one).
And 2025? Saucony’s got plenty more in store.
Saucony releases
Saucony was founded in 1898 in the small town of Kutztown and has built a rich history ever since. Originally focused on running, the brand has repeatedly proven itself with iconic models like the 7446 Spike, considered the oldest running shoe in the world. Saucony has received plenty of recognition over the years but continues to innovate time and time again.
Today, popular models like the ProGrid Omni 9, Grid Jazz 9, and Shadow 5000 are in high demand—even among artists. One name that’s recently made waves through a collab with Saucony is rapper Jae Tips, known for his bold, colourful designs.
The duo was awarded ‘Collaboration of the Year’ in 2023 for their first joint project, which spotlighted the Grid Azura 2000.

Since his debut, Jae Tips has created a range of (colourful) releases with Saucony—and now, another rapper is stepping up: Westside Gunn.
Westside Gunn
The first rumors of a Griselda release started circulating last autumn. Westside Gunn, known for tracks like ‘Margeila Split Toes,’ ‘327,’ and ‘Gunnlib,’ was spotted at the offices of the American footwear brand. Shortly after, the first possible designs from the artist were leaked, which, just like Tips' releases, were very colourful.
Over six months later, we still don’t have the sneakers in hand, but it looks like we can expect the release(s) in 2025. Until then, we can look forward to plenty of other releases and activations.
Community
Saucony remains closely connected to its roots in the running world. In addition to creating the best designs with innovative technologies, the brand is actively involved in marathons and other running events. Saucony hosts pop-ups at events, like the upcoming one in Boston, and has its own app to stay close to the community.
Link your runs to the Strava app and challenge your friends and colleagues to your next round. Last month, Saucony hosted ‘The Maze’, a secret running race in Paris to celebrate the Endorphin Elite 2 – the brand’s latest design.
Couldn't make it? Don't worry. In the coming months, there will be plenty of events you can attend. In September, Saucony will be in London for a 10K run – and that’s far from the last event on the brand’s calendar.
