Nike is bringing back an OG colorway of the Shox R4; the 'Black Metallic Silver'. The sneaker was introduced in 2000 and immediately stood out for its unique shock absorption technology in the sole. Now, some 25 years later, the sneaker is still very much in demand, and we see the OG colorway returning.

The Nike Shox R4 'Black Metallic Silver' made its debut in 2000. The silhouette was groundbreaking and even now, some 24 years after its debut, is still considered one of Nike's most progressive designs.

The Shox R4 uses four spring cylinders in the sole that not only provide stability, but also cushioning and resilience. Unlike the Nike Shox TL, the R4 uses cylinders only at the heel, rather than along the entire length of the sole.

The upper is made of supple synthetic material with flowing lines and laser perforations that help the sneaker breathe. The sneaker was inspired by spacesuits and other astronaut gear, which is reflected in the dynamic elements on the center panel.
