On 20th July 2024, Nike and Nigel Sylvester dropped the Air Jordan 4 RM 'Grandma's Driveway'. This sneaker’s got its inspiration from the driveway of Sylvester's nan's house, where he first fell in love with BMX. A few months later, on 7th September 2024 at 9:00 am, they’re launching a fresh colorway: the 'Driveway Grey', once again paying tribute to those childhood memories of riding bikes at his nan’s place.
Sylvester’s collab with Jordan Brand goes way back to 2018, with his first official project, the Air Jordan 1. Then in 2021, he became an official Jordan Brand athlete. Now, he’s got his very own silhouette, and we can’t wait for the next drop of this model.
The 'Driveway Grey' comes in a slick mix of dark greys, red, and white. The upper’s made from anthracite grey suede, with a lighter grey TPU cage that wraps around the heel, featuring the standout Bike Air logo.
White accents and University Red visible Air Max units in the heel add a striking contrast, with a small red Swoosh on the toe side finishing off the design. Finally, the shoes come with an anthracite rubber outsole, giving them a clean, cohesive look from top to bottom.
What makes this release extra special is the packaging. The sneakers come in a unique box that tells the story of 'Grandma's Driveway'. The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 RM 'Driveway Grey' is set to drop on 7th September 2024 at 9:00 am, available from Nike and selected retailers.
