PUMA joins forces with Lower East Side New York creative initiative LAAMS to release a PUMA Suede. The sneaker has an exceptional, fuzzy look and a torn-away upper. The LAAMS x PUMA Suede 'Blank Canvas' will drop on August 3, 2024, at select retailers.
The LAAMS x PUMA Suede 'Black Canvas' is a DIY-inspired sneaker with a double upper. Creativity is something that is highly valued at LAAMS, and they have tried to translate this into the sneaker - and successfully!
The 'Black Canvas' is part artwork, part sneaker. The sneaker has an upper made of chunky canvas that can be removed to reveal green, fuzzy suede. The center panel features the well-known Evostripe.
On the center panel, we see the logos of both brands. Like the upper, the laces have a soft feel and come with a silver lace-up tag. An eye-catching detail on the sneaker is the outsole that shows the map of Lower East Side, Manhattan.
The collab comes with the instruction “Wear them into the ground,” which encourages wearers to wear the sneaker to create a one-of-a-kind sneaker. In addition, the sneaker comes with a tote bag.
