With Patta's 20th anniversary coming up, several rumours of releases for 2024 are circulating. In addition to the previously discussed Air Max 1 'Chlorophyll,' the Patta x Nike Air Huarache Pack will also be part of the releases!
The choice of the Air Huarache is remarkable, considering the silhouette has remained relatively under the radar in 2023. The silhouette brings back the upper of the Nike Huarache Plus, a design that has never been re-released since its release in 1993. Especially for Patta's 20th anniversary, the silhouette, characterized by the cross strap system on the upper, appears to be returning.
The first images reveal a collection of no less than three different colorways, namely a 'Black', 'Saffron Quartz', and 'White' version.
The 'Black' version includes a neutral palette of black, gray and sail hues. This is complemented by vibrant orange and red accents that stand out against the neoprene and branding elements. The 'Saffron Quartz' enters bolder territory with yellow leather overlays, a gray mesh base, and a striking blue pattern. Finally, the 'White' variant features white leather overlays, a gray base, and red accents.
Furthermore, the tongue features a black panther logo surrounded by the text “Air Huarache by Patta". This highlights the unique identity of the collaboration. This co-branding extends to the heel tab and insole. In doing so, the aesthetics of both brands flow effortlessly into one another. Another notable detail is the adopted sole from the Nike Pegasus 40, featuring an Air Zoom foam midsole for exceptional comfort and performance.
Finally, we see a jointly designed shoe box, clearly reflecting the brand's Amsterdam roots. Both Patta and Nike have yet to release any information about this Air Huarache collaboration.
