One Block Down has partnered with Nike to honour the Air Max Plus, dear community. These sneakers, also known as TNs, are a regular part of sneaker culture in Europe and far beyond. This pack highlights the classic OG-designs of the Air Max Plus from 1998.
The kicks in this pack have a ‘Reverse’ theme. Instead of the usual colour schemes, the colours have been reversed, resulting in two new versions: 'Cold Sun' and 'Dry Water'. Both models exude a lovely holiday feel with a mix of colours and materials that will instantly make you long for sunny days.
The first colorway in this collaboration has a gradient from Cognac, Chutney and Ginger to Photon Dust. The use of airy textiles gives the sneaker a fresh, summery look that fits nicely with the vibe of the season. In addition, subtle One Block Down branding details can be seen on the toe cap, tongue, outsole and insoles.
The second design brings the past into the present with a modern twist. The striking shades of Aquamarine draw immediate attention. The Hyper Blue upper fades to Aurora Green, with leather Photon Dust accents completing the design. The inspiration for this sneaker clearly comes from nature, with references to the sea.
The arch at the midsole is inspired by a whale's tail, while the cage at the midfoot is reminiscent of palm trees moving in the wind.
