After the success of previous Sandy Liang x Salomon collaborations like the Speedcross Ribbon and Rx Moc 3.0, the duo is releasing a new sneaker that, of course, features pink. This time, it’s the XT-Whisper in the 'Fairy Tale' colorway. The collaboration will drop on January 23, 2025.
New York-based designer Sandy Liang has been a great addition to Salomon. In 2023, she released her first sneaker with the brand: the XT-6 Expanse in the 'Cradle Pink' colorway. The sneaker was a hit and was followed by silhouettes such as the RX Moc 3.0, RX Marie-Jeanne, and more recently, the Speedcross Ribbon.
Now, we’re seeing the next collaboration from the duo. The XT-Whisper will be released in a 'Fairy Tale' colorway that, as expected, is entirely pink from top to bottom. The silhouette features a sporty design made from durable mesh.
Silver metallic overlays are placed over the design, giving the sneaker a dynamic look. The bright red outsole contrasts nicely with the light upper. Sandy Liang's flower logo with five petals adorns the tongue and insole, with additional logos on the tongue.
"The XT-Whisper is one of my favorite silhouettes from Salomon's archives, and I found it a great challenge to look at this shoe through a fresh, modern lens," says Sandy Liang about the collaboration. "This joint design reflects my love for outdoor adventures combined with the practicality and ease of my everyday life in the city."
