Nike is planning to release a brand-new slide design later this year. With the Nike Calm Slides, the company from Oregon is looking to fill the void in the chunky slide market, left by the absence of the Yeezy Slide after the break up between Kanye West and adidas.
Even though the slides are nicknamed 'Calm' they are causing quite the fuss because of the resemblance to the Yeezy Slides. The Nike Calm Slides feature a one-piece design, meaning that the whole slide is made of one consistent piece. The slide also takes inspiration from Nike's successful Benassi slides. But unlike the Benassi slides, the Calm Slides have an elevated design with a significantly thicker sole.
The Nike Calm Slides are rumored to be released in the Fall of 2023 and will come in five different colorways, Black, Sail, Jade Ice, Geode Teal, and Sesame. Of these five colorways, three will be unisex and there will be one women's and one men's pair. The slides will set you back €50.
