Nike Dunk Low 'City Market' | DA6125-900
The name says it all, this Dunk is inspired by local markets. When you zoom in on the shoe, you can see that different materials have been used. These materials are reminiscent of food packaging. Jute has been used for example. Many bags with coffee beans for example are also made of this material.
In addition, transparent plastic was chosen for the swoosh and the tongue. This plastic is reminiscent of sturdy rice bags, which also contain this material.
A nice detail is that there is a zip on the tongue, which turns it into a bag. Here a plastic bag is hidden, which again refers to the markets. The pocket in the tongue can be used, for example, to hide money when your hands are full.
Furthermore, the accompanying bag has "Thank You For Caring" written on it in large type, which gives a personal feeling that the local market also has. In addition, the laces are made of a material that looks like rope. All these elements give the shoe a robust look.

Nike Blue Ribbon Studio
If you look closely, you will see that "Blue Ribbon Studio" is written on the shoe. You might recognize the old Nike name, but the Blue Ribbon Studio is also located in Oregon at the Nike headquarters. This workplace is known as a place where the designers of Nike can create all kinds of things because of the different machines that are located there.
Looking at the design of the Dunk Low, it is not surprising that this shoe was created in such a creative place.
Release Information
