As Valentine's Day is just around the corner, some brands are already unveiling their collections for the holiday – including Nike. At the end of 2024, we saw the first images of the Air Max 1 'Valentine's Day' during the SNKRS Showcase. Now, we’re seeing two other colorways of this silhouette.
These are white and black colorways of the shiny Air Max 1 silhouette. Unlike many previous Valentine's Day releases, these sneakers don’t embrace love but rather the opposite: the break-up.
On the laces of the sneakers, the phrases "It’s not you, it’s me" and "It’s not me, it’s you" are featured, two phrases serving the same purpose, though the latter comes across as quite a bit colder.
The sneaker will be available in three colorways: 'Playful Pink', 'White', and 'Black'. The 'Playful Pink' was previously seen and features a bold colorway combining red and pink. The 'White' variant has a white upper made of patent leather, with bright red and pink details throughout the design.
The 'Black' colorway is all black from top to bottom, with red and pink details on the side panel, including the Swoosh. On the lace panel, 'NIKE' is spelled out in letters reminiscent of balloon lettering. In short, three playful sneakers that make the perfect gift for the holiday to surprise your loved one (or, of course, to break up with them).

Nike reveals the Air Max 1 'Valentine's Day' during SNKRS Showcase 2025

Nike has big plans for 2025. Recently, the brand showcased their line-up for 2025 during the annual SNKRS Showcase. In addition to several new silhouettes, OG colorways, and WMNS exclusives, it was mainly the Air Max 1 'Valentine's Day' that stood out.
Every year, Nike releases their well-known Valentine's Day sneakers, which with their romantic colorways are perfect for the holiday. In 2024, the Air Max 1 WMNS was released in a strong colorway that combined brown tones with pink details. A sneaker that, with its subtle Valentine's Day theme, was widely appreciated.
This year, it seems Nike is changing things up and unveiling a very eye-catching colorway of the Air Max 1. The sneaker in question features a bright red upper with pink, metallic overlays. On the lace panel, 'NIKE' is spelled out in emblems reminiscent of the balloons often given on this holiday.
On the sole, the quote "It's not me, it's you" is placed, a reference to a common phrase used during breakups. This quote is also featured on the laces.
