Nike celebrates the Chinese New Year with the Air Jordan 5 'Year of the Snake'

Although the last bit of fireworks has already been cleaned up here in the Netherlands, the Chinese New Year still has to take place. On January 29, 2025, the Spring Festival, another name for the Chinese New Year, will be celebrated, and this year the snake takes center stage.

As always, Nike is celebrating this holiday with various releases, including a metallic Air Jordan 5 expected later this month.

If there's one brand that celebrates Chinese New Year in a big way, it's Nike. Every year, the brand releases a range of sneakers that honor the holiday with their designs. This year, we see the Air Jordan 5 in a 'Year of the Snake' colorway featuring metallic details.

The pair is part of a pack that also includes silhouettes like the Air Jordan 11, Air Jordan 1 Low, and Jordan Stadium 90. The upper features a light gray color and is made of premium leather. Colorful, metallic details have been added to the sole and lace eyelets.

It is not yet clear when the Air Jordan 5 'Year of the Snake' will be released. It is also possible that the sneaker will only be available in Asia. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates.
